In this hands-on class, herbalist Pamela Dumont of Earth Star Minerals & Botanicals guides you through the unique world of high-altitude herbalism—where elevation, climate, and short growing seasons shape the way plants grow, gather strength, and offer their medicine.
We’ll explore how to identify key mountain plant allies, understand their traditional and folk uses, and work with seasonal harvesting rhythms that honor both the land and the plant cycles. You’ll also learn practical ways to bring these herbs into your everyday life while building a thoughtful, sustainable mountain home apothecary.
Together, we’ll create several herbal preparations to take home, including:
